Dr. Diederich Bakker studied business administration, graduated in international management, and holds a PhD in Marketing. His professional background is in marketing communication and market research. He has worked in the USA, Germany, France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
Dr. Bakker's personal interest lies in researching international business, SMEs, market entry strategies, private label branding, and Asian branding strategies. He teaches marketing at the International Business School of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, where he has been employed since 2002. In 2016, Dr. Bakker was appointed as a professor of International Business at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
