Diederich Bakker's personal interest lies in researching international business, SMEs, market entry strategies, private label branding, and Asian branding strategies. He teaches marketing at the International Business School of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, where he has been employed since 2002. In 2016, Dr. Bakker was appointed as a professor of International Business at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
