Game based innovation for circular textile
- Research project
The textile industry has a significant environmental impact, with high CO₂ emissions and low recycling rates. For example, in the municipality of Groningen, only a small portion of textile waste is effectively recycled. To address these challenges, Textile Hub Groningen (THG) aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises and other stakeholders in developing circular textile value chains. A serious game can serve as an innovative tool in this process.
A major obstacle in developing circular textile value chains is that existing tools are often too abstract and do not fully support the development of these value chains. This project explores how serious games can support the collaborative design of circular value chains. The goal is to develop an immersive and interactive game that fosters collaboration, enhances knowledge, and enables experimentation.
This project is made possible in part by funding from Regieorgaan SIA.
