The Malnutrition and Healthy Aging research line aims to close gaps in knowledge and practice regarding early recognition, prevention and treatment of malnutrition, with the aim of increasing the number of healthy years for the elderly.
To this end, interdisciplinary research within the Malnutrition and Healthy Aging research line focuses on three pillars:
- the role of physical activity in the nutritional status of the chronically ill and the elderly;
- the relationship between malnutrition and frailty
- nutritional assessment.
