Eventmanagement
- Exchange programme
Eventmanagement
You create the best possible customer experience. Events have gained significant importance as a marketing tool, the demand for qualified event managers has grown rapidly. Professionally organising and running an event, or event management, has become a profession.
Events have the power to pull in crowds, respond to visitors’ experiences, can engage a community, raise awareness or put an organisation or activity on the map. They have become part of contemporary society. Companies are also using events to achieve commercial objectives.
Each event is unique; you only have one chance to make it a success. That is the challenge, but also what makes its success so vulnerable. Every event has different scenarios and pitfalls. The minor focuses on managing all aspects that are project-based: a unique task, limited in time and resources.
The minor in Event Management reviews the organisation of an event in different stages and focuses on theory and practice. We train you in the knowledge and skills you need to successfully organise events.
You will work in a group of a maximum of five students. Together, you will be responsible for the design, organisation and implementation of two events: one which you devise yourself and one for an external client.
This minor has no special entry requirements.
