On Friday, January 10, Dr. Harald Pol will be inaugurated as professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Hanze's Executive Board cordially invites you to attend.

Panel discussion   
Prior to the inauguration, a panel discussion on the relationship between brand and customer experience, the transition to a sustainable society and the digital transition will take place from 1:30 p.m. The discussion is being led by:

  • RenĂ© Poel (manager marketing and business development De Friesland)
  • Brigitte van Buggenum (member management team Customer & Service UWV),
  • Albert Botter (commercial director FIB Industries)
  • Arjen Boekhold (impact innovation strategist Game Changer Unltd) will discuss this.   

The discussion is led by Thirza Schaap. She is the founder of CX Unraveled and was recently named #1 Top CX Professional Worldwide 2024.

Dr. Harald Pol   
Harald Pol studied Business Administration and Marketing. His PhD research (2010-2017) focused on how organisations can build lasting relationships with their customers, with special attention to the role of customer experience in this process. During his career as a consultant and (interim) manager, Harald helped many companies, both profit and non-profit, to increase their market and customer focus. Harald has written a number of books and scientific articles on marketing, customer experience and customer-oriented entrepreneurship. As of January 1, 2024, he has been appointed professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship. 

The professorship Marketing and Entrepreneurship 
The professorship Marketing and Entrepreneurship aims to strengthen the knowledge of organisations and (student) start-ups of the Hanze through research into marketing issues. These are marketing issues in areas such as sustainability, digitalisation, business models and value systems.   

The professorship is part of Hanze's Centre of Expertise Entrepreneurship.
