Then join Minerva Art Academy's DAT minor. Here students from all kinds of disciplines come together to create works that bring together art, design and technology. DAT minor delivers a module (30ECTS) in artistic technology research, which encourage semester 6 students. Students from all studies are welcome as a good mix of backgrounds gives a fertile ground to grow on.
Our world is driven by technological developments that spark societal change. Artists and designers critically reflect on and use these new technologies in their work. Interdisciplinary working conditions are becoming the norm especially in the fields of art, design and science. During DAT Minor you will learn technological and artistic skills necessary to support your project. In doing so, you will develop critical thinking towards our rapidly evolving technological landscape and the use of digital techniques.

What all DAT students share is that they share the urge 'to do stuff'. They have the ability to be open minded; connect different worlds create new realities. All in their own way.
DAT minor is organised in 5 different classes. It will start with a more technical period to learn techniques and skills, after that a time to play around with these skills and improve on them, then a concerting phase where you Devine and develop your own work. After that a few weeks of building. The last 4 weeks of the semester are fully dedicated to finalising projects. Depending on the developments during the minor a group or solo work wil be presented.

Registration for minors awarded on the basis of a draw is possible from 8 May 2023. Pre-registration closes on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 11:59 PM. You can register for minors after the draw from 22 May 2023. Looking for a minor that is still available during the academic year? Look in Osiris where there is still room because full = full.
Some minors have an entry with a draw. There is a pre-registration for these minors.
You can specify up to three preferences when pre-registering. There will be a draw in one round. First, the 1st choice of the students will be drawn. After that, the 2nd choice is drawn, etc. In the draw you will compete for just one spot. After the draw, you can only register for a minor if there is a place (full = full).
Students are placed randomly. Every student has the same chance of being eligible for a minor, independent of any programme. However, there may be entry requirements.
You can view your pre-registrations in OSIRIS Student. Go to the Enrol menu and click Show my enrolments.
