Energy Routes and the EAE Energy Certificate
- Certificate programme
Students who pursue an energy track in one of the majors (study programmes) at the Institute of Engineering are eligible to earn an Energy Certificate awarded by the Energy Academy Europe (EAE Energy certificate).
The energy tracks aim to fulfil two objectives. Firstly, to train professionals and researchers who possess their own expertise in the field of energy transition, and secondly, to promote the collaboration between professionals and researchers from diverse disciplines.
The energy education leading to the EAE Energy Certificate is divided into three domains: business, society and technology.
To qualify for the EAE Energy Certificate, students have three options:
For individual advice on how to complete energy education outside one's own domain, please send an email to entrancelc@org.hanze.nl.
A student may also design his/her energy pathway in a multidisciplinary research team, within one of the ENTRANCE Learning Communities and/or Lectureships - where he/she works with students from the two fields other than his/her own. This option can only be set up in consultation with the programme management of the ENTRANCE Learning Communities.
A student who has carried out a graduation research in an external company or organisation - on the topic of energy transition - and who has approached the topic from different disciplines, may submit his/her dissertation to the ENTRANCE Learning Communities team for assessment of its multidisciplinarity. The thesis must be at least 30 EC and the student must also complete at least 10 New Energy Coalition learning activities.
