Go online and become familiar with a first-year study programme within an hour
Welcome to our Online Taster Courses! Would you like to study and work alongside students, faculty members and partners from all over the world? Are you interested in global business and intercultural communication? Does the idea of spending a year abroad during your studies excite you? International Business is the programme for you!
During Online Taster Course you follow a part of a first-year study programme. It will give you an idea of what the programme is like. A module consists of three parts: a taster lecture, a bit of theory and a short exam. It is a good way for you to find out whether this study suits you, and your skills and qualities!
How good or bad is a firm performing (financially)? And how can a balance sheet and an income statement help you find the answer? Lecturer Maurice will give you the answers!
How do you make a balance sheet (for beginners)? Watch this YouTube video and learn more about it!

These questions are not meant to let you experience what an actual exam of a study programme is like. You can answer the questions to check whether you have understood steps 1 and 2 of the Taster Course correctly. You will get feedback on your answers so that you can see why your answers were correct or incorrect. You can also interact with your classmates to find out how they did.

How can you apply cultural concepts? During this module, lecturer Denisa will practice different cultural metaphors and models with you. You'll also learn about Geert Hofstede's cultural dimensions and two students of International Business will discuss a case study.
During the video, Denisa and the students talk about Hofstede's dimensions. Time to compare countries yourself with the country comparison tool! You'll select one or several countries/regions in the menu to see the values for the 6 dimensions.
