Egbert Dommerholt has been professor of Biobased Business Valorization within the Research Centre Biobased Economy since September 2020. He has years of experience in higher education, both as a lecturer and as a researcher.
Egbert Dommerholt retired from his position as professor in April 2024. Professor Niels Faber has taken over his duties.
Dommerholt has been a professor at the International Business School since 2012, where he is one of the founders of the MBA Purpose Economy. Dommerholt studied economics at the University of Groningen and received his PhD from the Free University of Amsterdam in 2009 on the topic 'Corporate Sustainability Performance: Constructs, Measures and Investors' Responses.' His areas of expertise are sustainable development, the circular economy, the degrowth economy and new business models, and he has already written several books around these themes.
